VideoSurf API Overview

Purpose

VideoSurf's APIs let you utilize the full power of our unique vision based technology in your own applications. This includes not only our powerful search technology, but also a wealth of structured information about videos and other related topics.

• Powerful, full featured search API.
  • Intelligently selected thumbnail images as well as a full visual summary of each video, titles, descriptions, related tags, related topics, and more.
  • Ability to refine result sets by characters that appeared in the videos (e.g. find the episode of Friends where Brad Pitt guest starred)
  • Include/exclude results by video provider (e.g. filter out Youtube videos or only show Comedy Central videos).
  • Ability to refine results by content type (e.g. show only Full TV Episodes or exclude slideshows)
• Video lookup API that lets you get detailed information about any video on the web with just its url or VideoSurf video id.
• For any video, get a variety of related videos by type using our related video API.
• Extract structured entity information about millions of entities from plain text with our Entity Recognition API.
