Fans celebrate Michael Jackson at Apollo
(NECN/WABC: Harlem, N.Y.) - There were few tears outside New York City's historic Apollo Theater Thursday.
The crowd was...
singing and dancing, simply celebrating Michael Jackson's legacy.
This is the theater where, in 1969, the then Jackson Brothers won amateur night and the hearts of millions of fans around the world.
Apollo historian Billy Mitchell was there to see it. Front and center was the little boy with dimples and the perfect Afro.
"The choreography was tight. The harmony was tight," Mitchell said.
For now, the fans say not goodbye, but see you later.
