Driving a 1998 Lexus LS400. Lexus owners are an emotional bunch! Had to disable comments. I did end up buying this car but
... soon got rid of it. Excellent fuel economy, fantastic sound system, silky V8, but the Aisin 5-speed transmission performs very poorly. When kicking down, its reluctant to shift and respond with a lower gear. Driving an LS400 the way you drive a BMW 5-series just doesn't work. So, I got rid of the car after a couple months.
