Boston Pops kick off season with Red Sox tribute
(NECN: Jennifer Eagan, Boston, Mass.) - Opening night for the Boston Pops, and a tribute to "America's favorite pastime"....
Keith Lockhart is back for his 15th season as conductor, and led the orchestra in songs from its newly released Red Sox CD.
The concert featured Barbara Cook who will sing songs from the Broadway stage and American Songbook, and 19-year-old Massachusetts native Tony Rymer who performed the last movement of Haydn's cello concerto in C Major.
