'Something in the Air' was an Australian television soap opera transmitted by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation between 2000 and 2002. It was one of the first programs in Australia that was filmed in widescreen.The series was set in the fictional rural town of Emu Springs, and dealt with the lives of its citizens. The cast included Eric Bana, Anne Phelan, Ray Barrett, Ulli Birvé, Roger Oakley, Frankie J. Holden, Kate Fitzpatrick, Melita Jurisic, Jeremy Lindsay Taylor, Sullivan Stapleton, Danielle Carter, Tammy MacIntosh, Vince Colosimo and Martin Copping.It dealt with the lives of the people in the town, and also touched on many controversial situations; such as the football club posing nude for a calendar, a cross-dressing politician (played by Oakley) who visits the "Seahorse Club", and an Asian female GP coming from the city (played by Nina Liu).As of 2008, the show is being broadcast on ABC2.
