House

House is an American medical television drama created by David Shore and Paul Attansio which stars Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House, a brilliant medical diagnostician who seems to delight in irritating just about everyone he comes in contact with. Many aspects of Laurie's character can be paralleled with Sherlock Holmes, including his drug use, friendlessness, musical aptitude and investigative genius.

The cast of House is largely responsible for the continued success and popularity of House full episodes, with outstanding performances byLisa Edelstein as Lisa Cuddy, House's boss and the hospital administrator, and Robert Sean Leonard as House's only real friend, the head of the oncology department Dr. James Wilson. Members of Dr. House's diagnostic team include Olivia Wilde as Dr. Remy "Thirteen" Hadley, Omar Epps as Dr. Eric Foreman, and Kal Penn as Dr. Lawrence Kutner.

Each House full episode begins with a mysterious illness or condition that continues through the hour, balanced with other, less critical though equally mysterious conditions. House clips show viewers that Dr. House is refreshingly abrupt and direct as he uses his patients' lies to discover the truth of their illnesses.
