House is an American medical television drama created by David Shore and Paul Attansio which stars Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House, a brilliant medical diagnostician who seems to delight in irritating just about everyone he comes in contact with. Many aspects of Laurie's character can be paralleled with Sherlock Holmes, including his drug use, friendlessness, musical aptitude and investigative genius.
