Expedition: Robinson is a controversial and highly popular Swedish reality program that debuted in 1997. Expedition: Robinson full episodes consist of a group of 16-20 contestants who must survive rugged conditions and grueling physical competitions, as well as avoid being voted off the island in a manner similar to America's reality television series Survivor.

Highly popular, Expedition: Robinson clips are frequently sought out by fans that develop an affinity with the various contestants. The "final" season was extremely popular, in 1997, with over 4 million viewers out of a possible 8.8 million. Expedition: Robinson videos frequently exhibit circumstances faced by The Swiss Family Robinson and Robinson Crusoe, both namesakes of the show.

Due to the popularity of Expedition: Robinson clips, the show returned on TV4 in 2009. Not without controversy, it is said that the first contestant to be voted out, on the very first episode, later took his own life due to the stresses of the show and the personal rejection.
