    Dorothy Parker's birthplace in Long Branch, New Jersey, is a national Literary Landmark. The author was born here Aug. 22, 1893, at her family beach cottage. It is gone and apartments are in its place. The plaque was dedicated in 2005 as part of Dorothy Parker Day.
