It’s time for the VideoSurf Challenge, where we humbly give you two of the best videos currently burning through the web, leaving it to you to vote which should survive to see another Challenge, and which should die off in obscurity. You can vote in the blog comments, on Facebook, or simply by clicking the button to vote on Twitter. The rules are simple - vote and pass it on. The video with the most votes moves on while the loser gets buried forever.

Today’s Challenge pits a brilliant re-imagining of The Jonas Brothers against the Queen of the Internet, Felicia Day!

The Champion

Last week’s top video was this clever mash-up of audio/video editing mastery that imagines the Jonas Brothers with a razor sharp, fist in the concrete edge. Think the Bros Jonas are just weak bumble gum targets of Disneyfied teenybopper idolatry? Wrong! Their death metal thrashing makes Regis Philbin’s ears bleed and Kelly Ripa go woozy!

The Challenger

It killed the crowds at San Diego Comic Con, then went into saliva building hiding as those lucky enough to see it at the Con raved to the rest of us for a few weeks. Finally making it’s world-wide debut on YouTube this morning, and already the top video download on iTunes, Felicia Day and co. hit it big with this original music video spot to promote the upcoming Season 3 of their hit web series, The Guild! Day’s Queen of Gamer Geeks crown is securely in place, but do the WoW Hordes and Dayophites have the votes to push Do You Wanna Date My Avatar past the legions of Jonas fans and put The Guild on the throne of VideoSurf champions?
