VideoSurf adds a New Voice to the Web Video Conversation Jun 11, 20094:48 PDT

My name is Jeff, and I’m a videoholic; I love film and video the way others love puppies or dancing or clean, dry socks. Stories told with moving images have captivated me my entire life. There are movies and television episodes that I remember with a fondness normally reserved for childhood romances and trust funds.

This passion, in part, is why I’m thrilled that the amazing team behind VideoSurf.com has chosen me to represent them in conversations all over the net. In America alone, we watched a record 16.8 billion videos in April. On Facebook, Twitter, in blogs, and everywhere else, online video has become the topic of a growing conversation as people watch, share, and discuss everything from TV episodes to cool videos to celebrity news to the upcoming season of Felicia Day’s The Guild.

While I’ve been granted the official (and slightly unwieldy) title of Social Media Marketing Manager, all that really means is I get the opportunity to participate in this conversation with you. Using VideoSurf’s unique and powerful visual search technology, we can easily sort through the ever-growing offerings of great sites like YouTube, Hulu, ESPN, Crackle, and many others. The very best in online video, films, and television will be available for all of us to share and talk about.

There’s something about video’s ability to tell a story that reaches us emotionally. Whether we’re laughing or crying, shouting or cheering, the characters in a great video seem larger than life even when they’re only the size of an iPhone’s screen.

As videos on the web continue to evolve, we’ll be able to enjoy the moments they present in new and unimaginable ways. My task is to help you use VideoSurf’s incredible search capabilities to find exactly what you want to watch. I welcome you to contact me at jeff@videosurf.com to discuss our site, or simply share a great video you think I should know about. With thousands of new videos being added to the web every day, the global conversation is really just getting started.

We’re going to have a lot to talk about.
