Patrick Swayze, Dead At 57, Created A Moment That Defined Romance Sep 14, 20095:11 PDT
Actor Patrick Swayze, best known for his leading roles in the movies Ghost, Dirty Dancing, and Roadhouse, has died, succumbing finally to a prolonged battle with pancreatic cancer. He was 57.

Although Swayze has been public with his illness, often appearing gaunt and frail in photographs and being forced to withdraw from his most recent role as the lead in the television series The Beast, it’s this scene from Ghost with Demi Moore that will be his most indelible memory. A pottery wheel and a copy of Unchained Melody softly playing in the background will, for many, forever be the epitome of on-screen romance.
