Love him or hate him, nearly every American recognizes Barney, the purple dinosaur of childrens television. Barney and Friends full episodes feature Barney and his friends, Baby Bop and B.J., as they sing songs aimed at teaching preschool aged children about being responsible and having good manners.

Barney and Friends videos have been both praised and criticized for their educational value (or lack thereof), but there is no denying the attraction little children feel for this good-natured Tyrannosaurus Rex and the lessons about being a good friend that are frequent story lines, though most parents cringe at the sound of the theme song, years after their children have outgrown the show.

Barney and Friends clips are still favorites of young children and Barney and Friends DVDs are still hot sellers and sales show no signs of slowing as preschoolers rediscover the hypnotic, sing-song melodies common to the show, often performed with popular guest stars.
